Today I made: Lip Balm
There has been lots of making going on here lately I've been trying to make a few new things that I've never made before.
Lip balm is really simple to make all that needs to be done is melt down your ingredients in a double boiler and then pour into the vessel you would like to use. if you were just making it for yourself you could use a nice recycled jar or even some tupperware. I have made some to give as gifts and didn't have anything nice to put it in so I bought some, they are fairly inexpensive and are easy to find on the net.
The Lip balm recipe I used is:
1 tbsp of beeswax
2 tbsp of shea butter
2 tbsp of coconut oil
This made quite a bit of lip balm I even tried making some coloured lip balm. I still have a few little pots to fill so next time I am going to try adding a little honey to my balm.

The Zoo
Luke and I spent a cold but lovely morning at the zoo on Monday. Over the weekend he had another rushed to the hospital seizure (33mins) and when he awoke his first words were 'I want to go somewhere nice'
His version of going 'somewhere nice' really means I want to go eat food somewhere but since we are really strict with his diet now that has become quite complicated.
He bounced back super fast this time and so by Monday morning when he was pestering me again to go somewhere nice I made a snap decision to take him to the zoo. He loved being free to wonder at his own pace. And it was lovely to have him all to myself, one on one to enjoy the time together.
His favourite animals were the giraffes and the seals, probably these were the least scary to him. It was so nice to have some time to be outside with my little guy, after everything we've been through,I must remember to do it more!

A Scrappy Share
Just a little scrappy share today.
Loving tags and Heidi Swapp's Colourshine. I don't think I can get enough of it!
A quick scrap, I timed 15mins for myself, just to at least get something done.
Lastly some water colour paints and handmade embellishments.
Sending winter hugs your way :-)

A Smoking Day
Today was Paul's last day of holidays so we spent the day out back with our boys and a camp fire.
They totally love being outside, Blake loved poking the fire and of course there was some yummy camp fire cooking. Even a few marshmallows were toasted. Hope you had a lovely weekend. :-)

My Easter
We had lots of fun yesterday, lots of sweet moments with my boys and my nieces and nephews.
This is how it looked to me...
The table.
I face painted the kids face, Caitlin was the most adventurous.
Tiny speckled eggs.
Easter treats.
Bunnies hopping in flowers.

Lots of smiles from the little ones.
It has taken Luke a long time to recover this time. It worried me. But he seems to be back to his smiling self now. Thanks for your love.
